Sugar Update - Sugar's rehab is going a little slower than we had anticipated, it will be at least a month until she will be ready for adoption. She will also need someone at home with her during most of the day.

Sugar is as sweet as her name! She came into our rescue from a commercial breeder on 9/13/2014, and has been discovering and enjoying life as a real dog ever since. She wants nothing more than to please you, looking for all of the pets and attention she can get. She has learned the word outside, and will do her business there reliably. If her foster mom misses her cue or a scheduled visit, Sugar will use a potty pad. She is also loving her meal times with yummy canned food from Merrick, and will discard any dry kibble she finds in it! 

Sugar is learning how to walk well on a leash, she does better returning rather than leaving on a walk, but does okay. She follows the lead of her foster sisters. She is constantly looking for affection from you, and wags her little tail  100 miles per hour. Sugar has also discovered she loves squeaky toys, and will squeak without pause as long as she can!! 

Sugar will do fine as an only dog, or as a member of a pack. She is shy until she feels comfortable in a new environment, so will need patience when transitioning to a new home. She will do fine with responsible children, she just wants to be loved.

Sugar can be adopted within a 50 mile radius of Minneapolis/St. Paul.
